The Music Academy @ First’s mission is to provide free quality musical training to financially disadvantaged children by using the power of music and musical instruction to improve the lives of these at-risk youth.

Our long-term aim is to strengthen our community by reaching out to one child at a time. We hope to see our students become well-rounded individuals who maintain a lifelong passion for and connection with the arts.

NONDISCRIMINATION POLICY

The Music Academy @ First accepts students of any race, color, religion, gender, gender expression, sexual orientation, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the Music Academy @ First.

It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, gender, gender expression, sexual orientation, national and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, and other academy-administered programs.

“ The purpose of arts education is not to produce more artists, though that is a byproduct. The real purpose of arts education is to create human beings capable of leading successful and productive lives in a free society.”
